a five tool player….has great speed and athleticism…moved to centerfield after starting last year in left….led off most of last year and should do so again this season….has a chance to be a terrific player….2007 stats: tied with team lead in runs scored (21), six stolen bases, .291 BA….played football at Lassiter earlier in his career….showed great potential to be drafted or play college ball…

outstanding defensive outfielder….made catch of the year last year at Sprayberry….runs well and tracks ball in difficult to play RF….strong arm….good contact guy at the plate….production numbers should improve with maturity and experience….batted .303 in 76 plate appearances in 2007….2007 Gold Glove winner….JV MVP as a sophomore (2006)….member of the 2006 state championship team….should attract some college attention with a good season….

another first timer….average fastball but has an outstanding curve….has been a little up and down in tryouts due to splitting time as a wrestler….Nick has been a state championship caliber wrestler for years in the mid weight classifications….great mound presence and will compete….should see time and provide depth in some type relief role

left handed hitting third baseman….has worked hard to make himself a pretty good player…needs to continue development with defensive skills to break into the starting lineup….pretty good hitter that is starting to show some pop….should provide some depth in the infield and see some time at DH….his dad is a scout for the Baltimore Orioles

plays the game with great energy, intensity and passion…loves to practice....one of our hardest working players ever….arrived for preseason workouts in great shape….a five tool player that just needs more consistency to be one of the top players in the state...has the speed to beat people with his feet…2007 stats: 3 homeruns, team leading 15 walks, .415 OBP…three year starter…starting second baseman on 2006 state championship team....….has signed to play at East Tennessee State...…his dad is the pitching coach at Roswell

one third of a quality trio of sophomore hurlers in 2007….plenty of quality innings against region opponents after Palazzone injury….throws three quality pitches for strikes and competes on the hill….mid to high 80’s fastball…has been very impressive in scrimmages….will be one of the three starters….2007 stats: team leading 42 2/3 innings pitched, 2.95 ERA, .230 opponent BA, 28 strikeouts….won JV Cy Young Award as a freshman….member of the 2006 state championship team….brother Matt (‘00-03) was a very good outfielder for the Trojans

one of the most physically talented players in the program….split time between JV and varsity in 07….natural position has been catcher but has athleticism and versatility to play other positions….has been looked at in several positions in preseason….has strong arm and will be in the mix on the mound….good hitter with some pop….launched a home run against Pope in his only varsity at bat in 2007….his brother Jake is also a member of the varsity

another big strong physical first baseman….has shown great improvement since last season, especially at the plate….impressive preseason swinging the bat has put him in the mix at first base….needs to continue to improve his defensive skills….2007 JV Trojan Award winner….Zeke has been a pleasant surprise….plays defensive end on the Trojan football team….younger brother Eli is on the JV team

another of the trio of talented sophomore pitchers returning for their junior season….was outstanding as a starter last season after Palazzone injury….keeps the ball down, spots well and knows how to get hitters out….hitters never seem to get a good swing on him….2007 stats: team leading 1.35 ERA, 31 innings pitched , 6 walks allowed, .250 opponents BA….talented athlete that started some at 1B last season….will concentrate on pitching chores this season…brother Brandon also plays on the team

one of the best defensive outfielders in the program….strong arm, tracks the ball well and can swing the bat….has been impressive in preseason work….six RBI’s in one of the scrimmages…needs to put all his skills to work every day….has a chance to be a really fine player….will see time in the outfield, possibly as the starting left fielder….called up to varsity late last year after an impressive freshman season

terrific attitude and work ethic….one of the best catchers in the state….will be a three year starter….great mechanical tools behind the plate….strong arm and quick release….effective staff management skills….2007 stats: tied for team lead with a .333 BA, team leading 27 hits, second on the team in homeruns and RBIs with 4 and 23 respectively….Gold Glove catcher in 07…..caught state championship game in 2006….2006 Rookie of the Year

considered by many to be one of the top pitching prospects in the country with a chance of being an early draft pick…classic right handed power pitcher….low to mid 90’s fastball and a nasty 12 to 6 curve ball….change up may be his best pitch….has a good chance to become the career leader in victories…. showed up in great shape and has been a leader….2006 Cy Young winner….11-1 record as a sophomore ranks near the top in Lassiter history….though injury prevented him to half the season in 2007, he lead the staff with 30 strikeouts in 20 innings….2007 stats: 3-2 record, 2.10 ERA, .174 opponents BA….signed to play next season at UGA

strong physical hard throwing righty….great sinking action on his pitches….called up from the JV in mid season and gave us numerous quality outings….dominant in JV prior to his call-up….should battle for one of the starting spots but may be more valuable as a reliever….he  can throw virtually everyday….will also compete for OF or DH ….can swing the bat and has some pop….2007 stats: 20 1/3 innings pitched, 2.41 ERA, 16 strikeouts, 2-1 record….07 Junior Varsity MVP….his grandfather was the long time coach at St. Bonaventure and had the field there named for him

this is her third year of managing….also works as a hostess at Aspens….is a big Alabama fan and hopes to attend college there….enjoys  watching the Braves…prior experience includes helping with her younger brother’s youth baseball teams

JV manager in 2007….played first base on the 2007 Fastpitch State Champs….hit a towering homerun in the state semi-finals to start a comeback against Mill Creek…honorable mention all-state (Fastpitch) in 2007….enjoys the Braves and lists Jeff Francouer as one of her favorite players….wants to attend Virginia Tech

JV manager in 2007….was the catcher on the 2007 Fastpitch State Champions…..second team all-state and all-county (Fastpitch) catcher in 2007….big Yankees fan and lists Derek Jeter among her favorite sports personalities….her favorite college is Auburn…mom teaches at Simpson Middle School

good little player….has all the intangibles qualities that coaches love in their players….great mechanics in the infield and makes all the plays at 2B….is growing and getting stronger….has shown ability to play SS in preseason work….solid contact guy at the plate that has the knack for getting the big hit….delivered a game winning inning in bottom of seventh to win a game last year against Northview….brother Anthony (02-05) was an infielder on the 2005 state runne-rup team

one of the most versatile players in the program….always seems to be making a big play or coming up with a timely hit…a player that is hard to keep out of the lineup….solid defensive skills that can play either second or short….gets hitters out on the mound though he doesn’t have dominant stuff…could get a look at the varsity…both his brothers, Michael (95-98) and Matt (99-02), were outstanding players for the Trojans
